Publisher by: Summer Prescott Books Publishing; 1st Edition

Author, LeAnna Shield has published four young adult novels (under her own name) and a children's book (under the pen name Anna Lee). Her latest offering, Sparx of Suspicion, in the Mystic Ranch Mystery Series, is an interesting blend of cozy mystery and fantasy.

I won this book for my participation in a Cosy Mystery Village Author Takeover.

It is a well written, thoroughly good mystery with just the right mix of suspense, tension, twists and turns and a few red herrings for good measure.

The protagonist, Sabiya Feathercroft, charming owner of a notions shop in the sleepy town of La Sola, Colorado, is being stalked. Enchantment permeates the atmosphere where things are not always what they seem. When is a murder not a murder; when magic is involved, of course?

Sabiya’s foil, Bridger, a handsome newcomer in town with his own secrets, came to La Sola to make a new start but soon finds himself caught up in a whirlwind of magic and intrigue.

Shields creates well drawn characters from the amiable to the pugnacious.

There’s more than malevolence pervading the atmosphere in La Sola there’s an unmistakable hint of romance wafting gently in the mountain air.

If you like a touch of magic in your mystery then this one’s for you so pick up your copy of LeAnna Shields’, Sparx of Suspicion, TODAY.
