They are about to enter a world where people and circumstances are not always as they seem. A realm where evil undercurrents of avarice and secrets swirl, threatening to drag the weak to their doom. Cait and Bud’s lives will be forever altered in this tale of murder, mayhem and menace.

The characters are superbly drawn and atmosphere so well crafted you will experience the dampness in the chilly air, the explosion of colour in the yellow, gold and red of the autumn leaves in beautiful British Columbia. You might even hear the mournful call of a loon.

Just when you think she is wrapping up the ace wordsmith, Cathy Ace, will plunge you into the abyss and take you on an emotional roller coaster.

I’m glad I started with Ace’s first book in the series so that I have been introduced to the provenance of the main characters Cait and her trusted ally and husband Bud Anderson. I’m hooked on the Cait Morgan mystery series and I know if you love a well written whodunit you will be hooked too.
